Young people aged between 8-16, from across Scotland, have been given a best-in-class entertainment and media experience as part of the free programme. Students can learn about different roles in the media industry, build their communication skills and explore their creativity. They’ve had the chance to be producers, directors, scriptwriters, camera operators, editors and reporters.
Each session gives up to 32 students the chance to experience a behind-the-scenes tour of Sky Livingston before being given the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and experts. By the end of the session they produce a video covering topics such as cyber-bullying or plastic pollution in the ocean.
Teachers are supported to encourage their students to continue to create their own content, inspired by their time at Sky Academy Studios. All the resources are available on the Sky Academy Studios website and the next bookings go live on 4 December 2019.
