Dana Strong CBE

Dana Strong, CBE, is Group Chief Executive of Sky, one of Europe’s leading entertainment and connectivity companies, serving millions of customers in the UK, Ireland and Italy.  She is driving the evolution of the company in a rapidly changing media environment, bringing together world-class content, market-leading connectivity and innovative products to deliver better experiences for customers. In July 2026, Dana announced Sky’s proposed acquisition of ITV Media & Entertainment, creating a commercial streaming champion for the UK. 

Since joining Sky in 2021, Dana has accelerated the company’s transformation from a satellite TV to a digital media and connectivity business, launching Sky Glass and Sky Stream. Under her leadership, Sky continues to invest in the cultural economy, creating award-winning original content, delivering world class live sporting events as the biggest investor in sports rights in Europe and providing free access to news and the arts. As a proud, personal advocate, she has led Sky to become the UK’s biggest investor in women’s sport. 

In early 2026, Sky unveiled its Ultimate TV package, a world-first offering that brings Disney+, HBO Max, Netflix and Hayu together with Sky’s programming at great value. She has also driven growth in Sky Mobile and Sky Broadband, the launch of Sky Business’s mobile proposition. 

Dana has led cable and satellite businesses around the world and is recognised for accelerating growth. Before joining Sky, Dana held senior roles across global media and telecommunications, including President of Consumer Services at Comcast Cable, President and Chief Operating Officer of Virgin Media, and Chief Transformation Officer at Liberty Global. 

In June 2025, Dana was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire for her services to business and media.
