Sustainable production

Sustainable production
We’re serious about creating a more sustainable TV industry, and we know the power of production to drive real change. We have an ambitious science-based target to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions by 50% by 2030 from a 2018 base year, and work with our production partners to measure and reduce carbon emissions through albert certification. We’re also committed to embedding climate-positive thinking in the way we work and the stories we tell. Whether it’s switching to renewable electricity, choosing trains over planes, reusing materials or partnering with more sustainable suppliers, every decision counts.
The numbers speak for themselves: swapping diesel for HVO (a renewable fuel made from waste cooking oil) can reduce emissions by up to 90% (The Fuel Project, Film London, 2024), and taking the train instead of flying can cut emissions by as much as 97% (Our World in Data, 2023). Recycled props, donated sets and mindful sourcing all make a difference, you can find out more in our single use plastic policy. We're proud of the steps our teams are already taking - and we’re excited to keep pushing for more. Let’s keep making brilliant TV - with the planet in mind.
