An explosive return as Strike Back: Shadow Warfare comes to Sky 1 HD
Sky 1 HD’s homegrown hit action drama bursts onto screens for a fourth series in Strike Back: Shadow Warfare on Sky 1 HD from 28 October at 9pm. Sky customers can view the series opener earlier, with the first episode available via the On Demand service from 22nd October.
Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton flex their muscles and resume their roles as Sgt Michael Stonebridge and Damien Scott respectively, and, this time, they're joined by new cast additions; Robson Green (Soldier, Soldier), Dougray Scott (Mission: Impossible II) and Martin Clunes (Doc Martin). Produced by Left Bank Pictures in partnership with HBO/Cinemax and Sky, this latest entry in the franchise gives fans exactly what they want: explosive storytelling and big action beats.
Personal leave cut short, Stonebridge and Scott are reunited with their Section 20 cohorts, namely Maj Rachel Dalton (Rhona Mitra) and Sgt Julie Richmond (Michelle Lukes), when one of their own is killed during a deadly operation. A few things have changed around the Crib, though, most noticeably the presence of Lt Colonel Philip Locke (Robson Green), who has stepped in to take charge of the team's mission to bring down Al-Zuhari, an Iranian terrorist and high-flyer on the FBI's Most Wanted list, with devastating plans for the West. Along the way, Stonebridge and Scott encounter a wealthy rogue operative (Dougray Scott), a former MI6 agent (Martin Clunes) and a whole lot of incendiary obstacles.
By 2014, Sky will invest £600 million a year in British programmes across its portfolio of channels. This commitment includes home-grown content such as upcoming entertainment quiz DUCK QUACKS DON’T ECHO, dramas such as MOONFLEET, THE TUNNEL, DRACULA, A YOUNG DOCTOR’S NOTEBOOK, FLEMING and THE SMOKE, comedies such as STELLA, DOLL & EM,THE KUMARS and factual shows such as KARL PILKINGTON: THE MOANING OF LIFE, THE SOUTH BANK SHOW, THE FACE and ROSS KEMP EXTREME WORLD.
