Arrow returns exclusively to Sky 1 HD
New, unmissable and exclusive US drama ARROW returns for a second seasononly on Sky 1 HD,from 21 October at 8pm. A huge hit with Sky customers, the series became the biggest multi-channel US drama in UK pay TV history.
Season 1 saw billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) return to Starling City after being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. Missing and presumed dead for five years, following a violent shipwreck, Oliver was welcomed home by his devoted mother Moira (Susanna Thompson) and his beloved sister Thea (Willa Holland) and less so by former flame Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy).
With the aid of his trusted chauffeur and bodyguard John Diggle (David Ramsey), and the computer-hacking skills of Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), Oliver waged a one-man war on crime. But like all wars, there were casualties. Season 1 ended with Oliver unable to prevent the destruction of the Glades, the poorest section of Starling City, and the death of his closest friend Tommy Merlyn. Adding salt to the wound, his mother aided and abetted the plot, leading to her incarceration in Iron Heights Prison.
In the season two premiere, Oliver must transform from vigilante to hero. Diggle and Felicity travel to the island of Lian Yu in search of Oliver, who left Starling City after the devastation of The Undertaking and his failure to avert it. Convinced to return home, Oliver finds that things are in much worse shape than he imagined. Isabel Rochev (recurring guest star Summer Glau) is preparing a hostile takeover of Queen Consolidated, Thea refuses to visit Moira in jail and her boyfriend Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) is trying to fill the void left by the Arrow's absence, meanwhile Laurel is working with the District Attorney's office to take down the vigilante.
When Thea is abducted, Oliver rededicates himself to his mission but he knows that this time he must be more than just another vigilante. To honor his fallen friend and protect the people he loves, Oliver must become a beacon of hope for the city's most vulnerable, and a weapon of justice against those who prey upon them... He must become THE ARROW.
