Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew gets the nation moving in the second series

Wednesday 6 March 2013

TX: Sunday 17th March at 8pm on Sky 1 HD and Sky 1

Ashley Banjo returns to resume his mission to get the nation moving in a second series of ASHLEY BANJO’S SECRET STREET CREW, launching on Sky 1 HD at 8pm on March 17th. The first series delivered heart-warming viewing for Sky customers, as the unlikeliest of dancers from around the UK surprised groups of friends and family with incredible performances. From dinner ladies to darts players, to a squad of policeman, Ashley showed them all how learning to street dance is not just about mastering new steps but about gaining self-confidence. For many it turned out to be a life changing experience.

Whether they lack the confidence to even contemplate inching onto the dance floor or think they have two left feet, Ashley Banjo believes that with the right training, perseverance and practice, anyone can do it. This series will see him, with the support of fellow members of Diversity, transform dance floor wallflowers into disco divas once again as he uncovers, nurtures and reveals the hidden twinkle-toed talents of groups including a girls rugby team, estate agents, farmers and teachers

In episode one Ashley heads to Swindon, Wiltshire, taking 26-year-old groom-to-be Lee under his wing. Lee wants to surprise his fiancée Amy, 23, on their big day by bringing down the house with a showstopping performance alongside his best men. Lee, a naturally shy guy, will have to learn to take centre-stage and lead his crew, especially the disruptive jokers of the pack, to make sure his special moment doesn’t leave his bride blushing for all the wrong reasons.

Emotional, uplifting, triumphant and surprising, ASHLEY BANJO’S SECRET STREET CREW returns on Sunday 17th March at 8pm and can be enjoyed exclusively on Sky 1 HD which is also available to customers via Sky Go on PC, Xbox, ipad and selected smartphones at no extra cost.

Please note that future episodes of Ashley Banjo's Secret Street Crew will play out every Sunday at 7pm.
