Discover, curate and play the music videos you love all in one place with XITE on Sky Q

Thursday 7 November 2019

Sky Q is bringing the best music apps together on your TV with the launch of the new XITE app, an interactive music video platform where you can discover, curate and play your favourite music videos, all in one place.

The release of XITE makes the award-winning Sky Q TV platform a one-stop shop for music fans – there’s a dedicated music section where customers can easily find and watch the music they love, whether that’s picking their perfect soundtrack from Spotify, or watching trending releases on YouTube.

With the XITE music video app, music fans can enjoy a really personalised video experience on the big screen. Customers can customise their own playlist by selecting a style, era or mood and create their perfect music video mix, as well as searching for favourite videos or specific artists. It’s an easy and fun way to rediscover your favourite videos and find new ones from up to 100 music channels

With the Freemium model of XITE, no subscription or log in is required so customers can dive straight in to a world of music videos and all the songs they love, or quickly and easily upgrade online to Premium for an ad-free experience.

Liz Wynn, Director of Sky TV said:This is brilliant news for customers, Sky Q brings together all the music you love, all in one place, with the new XITE app right next to Spotify and You Tube on the big screen.”

Music fans can also find a host of gigs, music festivals and music documentaries on Sky Arts, as well as over 1,000 movies to sing-along to available on demand with Sky Cinema. For music channel surfers, MTV alone has a suite of seven separate channels to suit your mood and there’s even a NOW 80s channel for any A-Ha or Rick Astley fans out there.

XITE will begin rolling out to all Sky Q customers from today and will be available in the Music and Apps section over the next few weeks.

Our technology allows customers to watch what they want, when they want, how they want, and as we connect millions of families to content they love, it is our responsibility to do it safely – that’s why we offer services like Sky Broadband Buddy and the Sky Kids app. And our online streaming service, NOW TV, brings viewers all the enjoyment of Sky with the flexibility of a contract-free service.
