The advert forms part of a partnership between Sky and Walt Disney Studios UK in support of the UK Premiere of The Lone Ranger, a deal brokered by Sky’s Director of Promotions and Partnership Marketing Bob Suppiah and Walt Disney Studios UK.

Bob Suppiah, Sky’s Director of Promotions and Partnership Marketing, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Disney on this exciting and innovative live advert for The Lone Ranger, which will deliver all of the red carpet glamour – not to mention the star quality of Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer – directly and exclusively to the screens of Sky customers.”

Lee Jury, The Walt Disney Company Vice President of Studio Marketing EMEA, said: “When making The Lone Ranger, rather than relying on CGI, director Gore Verbinski focused on delivering spectacular action sequences shot with real people in real settings – and on real moving trains. As such, we’re thrilled to be working with Sky to deliver our own real-life stunt, underscoring the filmmakers’ approach and in doing so, creating a truly innovative and exciting media first for the UK film industry.”

The Lone Ranger is due to hit cinemas nationwide on August 9th, 2013 and will be available on Sky Movies Disney in 2014.
