Cunning Tyrion Lannister has been revealed as the UK’s favourite GAME OF THRONES character, in a nationwide poll commissioned to mark the return of the award-winning drama to UK screens.
Fans have been voting to choose between their favourite characters, families and episodes in advance of the highly-anticipated fourth season, which begins on 7 April on Sky Atlantic HD at 9pm, less than 24 hours after it returns in the US.
From today, those who missed out first time around or want another taste of the Seven Kingdoms, can catch up on Seasons 1-3, exclusively on Sky On Demand and NOW TV.
Closely behind Tyrion, characters Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow were the nation’s second and third choice. Jon Snow and Ygritte top the poll for favourite couple, with Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo following up in a close second. The Starks is the nation’s favourite Game Of Thrones family with the finale of the first season proving to be the UK’s favourite episode in the story so far.
Giving the nation a chance to watch again from the beginning or become fans for the very first time, Sky is offering two ways to enjoy every single episode from the past three seasons.
Sky customers will today find seasons 1-3 of Game of Thrones available in the TV Box Sets section in On Demand through their Sky+HD box. All of the episodes are also available to watch on smartphones, tablets and laptops through Sky Go. Viewers can even download episodes to watch offline wherever they are with Sky Go Extra.
Alternatively, those without Sky can watch all previous episodes without a contract through online streaming service NOW TV, with an Entertainment Month Pass priced at £4.99 a month.
Julia Barry, Director, Sky Atlantic HD, said: "For anyone who hasn’t yet experienced the GAME OF THRONES phenomenon, now there is an easy way from Sky to catch up on every episode of one of the most talked about TV shows in the UK. The new season is easily one of the most eagerly anticipated TV events of the year, which we’re delighted to offer exclusively on Sky Atlantic HD, less than 24 hours after the US broadcast."
Based on George R.R. Martin’s best-selling book series A Song of Ice and Fire, the new ten-episode fourth season of HBO’s drama chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent fantasy kingdom.
Created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, GAME OF THRONES redefined the fantasy genre when it launched back in April 2011, and has since garnered much critical acclaim. A wealth of new talent will also join the cast, including Mark Gatiss (Sherlock), Joel Fry (Trollied, Plebs), Roger Ashton-Griffiths (Gangs of New York), Indira Varma (What Remains, Luther) and Pedro Pascal (Homeland, The Good Wife), who will play Prince Oberyn Martell aka The Red Viper.
GAME OF THRONES returns on Monday 7 April at 9pm on Sky Atlantic available exclusively to Sky TV customers and contract free on NOW TV with the Entertainment Month Pass.
