Getting behind the DEC Syria Crisis Appeal

Working with our partners, the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) and in collaboration with other major broadcasters, we’ve launched a Syria Crisis Appeal. The war in Syria has forced over three million people from their homes – they urgently need food, shelter and medical care. The DEC’s fourteen member agencies (which include the British Red Cross, Islamic Relief and Oxfam) are providing aid inside Syria and to families who have fled to neighbouring countries and we’re making it easy for everyone to get involved. Customers can donate via the red button on Sky News, by texting SKY to 70000 or at dec.org.uk.

Supporting international appeals like those run by DEC is one way that we can use our reach as a broadcaster to make a positive contribution to society. We hope that customers and Sky News viewers will join in to support the appeal and we’re pleased to be a part of this collaborative effort.
