Kiefer Sutherland and Stephen Fry star in Playhouse Presents…Marked a twisted Christmas drama for Sky Arts

Sky Arts’ popular comedy and drama strand Playhouse Presents… returns to delight customers with a one-off drama Marked, starring Stephen Fry and Kiefer Sutherland as you’ve never seen them before.
Playhouse Presents… Marked follows the story of James (Sutherland), a seemingly regular guy who has been ground down by the pressures of work, family, money and life. Drowning in debt, James hits crisis point and in his desperation agrees upon an unlikely opportunity to make some easy money.
His disgruntled neighbour (Kevin McNally) asks him to do a ‘hit’ on a man in return for a large amount of cash. Agreeing to his demands, James arrives at the man’s house and sets out to incapacitate his victim. But before he passes the point of no return, he discovers that things aren’t quite as they seem. Instead of the mark, he is confronted with the last person (Fry) he expects to see.
Marked is written and directed by Greg Ellis and reunites Kiefer Sutherland and Stephen Fry who have both recently starred in 24: Live Another Day, the hit Sky 1 action drama. Playhouse Presents… is renowned for a number of acting, writing and directing debuts, the previous series of 30-minute drama and comedies has seen Cara Delevingne make her television acting debut alongside Sylvia Syms in Timeless, along with Matthew Perry who made his UK TV comedy debut in The Dog Thrower.

Marked was commissioned for Sky Arts by Cameron Roach, Head of Drama, Sky Entertainment. The executive producers are Gina Carter and Stephen Fry for Sprout Pictures and Jo McClellan for Sky. Playhouse Presents… champions innovative productions and original writing, and underlines Sky’s commitment to UK origination, as part of Sky’s ongoing commitment to invest £600m in original content.
