Today is an exciting one for Sky Sports and our viewers, the moment we reveal our opening selection of live Premier League fixtures.

Last season 49 out of the 50 most popular matches were on Sky Sports and this season our viewers can enjoy the same - more of the games that matter, more of the best experts and more of the best analysis. 

And for the first time, we’re kicking off the season with all seven Sky Sports channels free to every Sky, Virgin Media, TalkTalk, and UPC household on Saturday 16th August, including our fantastic new European football channel Sky Sports 5.

So what can our customers look forward to? Looking at the schedule of live matches, before the end of November, there really is something for all supporters, with 43 live matches, every club at least three times and a match from all 20 Premier League grounds.

On the opening weekend, we kick off with the top four: Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. And you’ll see them all at least six times each before December.

We’ve got more of the big head to heads and derbies including Manchester City v Manchester United, Arsenal v Tottenham, Manchester City v Chelsea, Manchester City v Liverpool and Chelsea v Arsenal. 

These matches are all part of our unrivalled football offering, which this season means more live matches than ever before. 

As well as 116 live Barclays Premier League fixtures, viewers can enjoy live coverage of European qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2016, UEFA Champions League, SkyBet Football League, SPFL, Capital One Cup, La Liga, Eredivisie, Copa del Rey and Coppa Italia, Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and Sky Sports Victory Shield.

That’s over 800 matches and we can’t wait to get started.

And of course it’s not just football, Sky Sports viewers to can enjoy an incredible schedule of live sport over the coming months: US Open tennis, England’s Tests against India, the 2014 Ryder Cup, every race of the Formula 1 season, rugby union Autumn Internationals and much more.
