London, Thursday 6th March 2014: Sky Living today announces that its extremely popular comedy drama series, MOUNT PLEASANT, produced by Tiger Aspect Productions, will be returning for a fourth series later this year.

Antonia Hurford-Jones, Director, Sky Living HD commented: “We’re thrilled that Mount Pleasant is returning for a fourth series. With its rich mix of colourful characters and great storylines, the show is a big hit with our customers and this series promises to be better than ever.”

Sally Lindsay and Daniel Ryan reprise their roles as Lisa and Dan Johnson whose lives are about to be turned upside down by the arrival of their first baby.  No sooner has the newest member of the Johnson clan made its debut, than Dan’s wayward younger brother makes an unexpected entrance.

Meanwhile, Fergus (Neil Fitzmaurice) struggles as Denise’s (Ainsley Howard) career as a model goes from strength to strength, and Roger (James Dreyfus) and Bianca (Sian Reeves) become unlikely housemates.

Joining the cast for series four are Daniel Ings (Psychoville, The Cafe) who will play Robbie, Dan’s younger brother and Naomi Bentley (Primeval, White Van Man) as Angie, Fergus and Lisa’s new PA.

Paula Wilcox returns as Pauline, Dan and Robbie’s mother, Bobby Ball as Lisa’s dad Barry and George Sampson as Bianca’s stepson, Gary.

Behind the camera Mark Brotherhood returns as lead writer joined by writers Amy Roberts and Loren McLaughlan. The series is produced by Serena Cullen and directed by Ian Barnes and Dermot Boyd.
