Rihanna picks stylist Lysa Cooper to complete mentor line up for “Styled To Rock”, Sky Living’s star-studded new fashion series
Sky Living proudly confirms the final co-host who will complete the trio of mentors in “Styled To Rock”, the ambitious and much-anticipated new fashion series executive-produced by icon Rihanna.
With the panel of mentors personally hand-picked by Rihanna herself, Lysa Cooper has d some of the superstar’s most striking and most talked about outfits. She has been working closely with her for numerous years. Lysa joins British designer Henry Holland, who runs the hugely successful House of Holland, and Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts, who created her own Dainty Doll make-up range, to co-host “Styled To Rock”, the new 10 x 60 fashion project premiering this Summer exclusively on Sky Living.
“Styled To Rock” will celebrate the extraordinary talent and creativity in the British fashion scene, and search for the next generation of raw, undiscovered fashion designers. Over ten weeks twelve unknown designers personally selected by Rihanna, will be challenged by the mentors to create outfits for a string of A-list music artists to wear for a variety of occasions, including stage, shoots, high-profile events and more. The show will ultimately recognise the increasing influence popstars have on mainstream fashion trends and provide an enviable springboard for the aspiring designer’s future fashion career.
Born and bred in New York, and with vast experience in many different creative spheres such as art, fashion and entertainment, Lysa has d international superstars such as Mos Def, Salt-n-Pepa, Beyonce, Aerosmith, Shakira, Mary J Blige, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and of course Rihanna to create some of their career defining looks.
Lysa’s history of working with new talent is extensive, having d pop star Pink for her first ever album cover as well as working with the Spice Girls on both of their iconic Rolling Stone magazine front cover shoots.
“Styled To Rock” is produced by Twenty Twenty (a Shed Media Group company). In this brand new TV format Rihanna takes on her first role as Executive Producer working predominantly behind the scenes, although she will also appear in front of the camera.
Sky customers will be able to enjoy the series exclusively on Sky Living HD later this summer. It will also be available on the move and on demand with Sky Go.
