The entire affair on demand now with TV Box Sets
London, Wednesday 2nd July 2014: Sky Living HD today announces that season three of the number 1 US network drama, SCANDAL, will come to Sky Living on Thursday 31st July at 9pm.
The series has already been showered with critical acclaim in the US, where it airs on ABC, and has an ardent fan base across the globe. SCANDAL follows the twists and turns of crisis manager, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington: Ray, Django Unchained) and her team of lawyers, hackers and political insiders. Olivia, a former media consultant to the President of the United States, left the White House to open her own prominent crisis management firm and now dedicates her life to protecting and defending the public images of the nation’s elite and keeping their secrets under wraps.
The series also stars the 2014 Critic’s Choice TV Award winner Bellamy Young (Criminal Minds), Columbus Short (Stomp the Yard), Guillermo Diaz (Half-Baked), Darby Stanchfield (NCIS), Katie Lowes (Easy Money), Tony Goldwyn (Ghost), Jeff Perry (Grey’s Anatomy), Joshua Malina (The West Wing) and Scott Foley (True Blood).
Series 3 sees Olivia Pope and Associates face their biggest scandal to date with surprising allegiances formed in order to get things handled. Customers will also be introduced to Olivia's parents, each of them as despicable as the other; and learn the truth behind Fitz and Mellie's dysfunctional relationship. The history of Cyrus and James' relationship is revealed, and as Quinn's career takes an unexpected path, her dark side is slowly uncovered. With tragedy striking more than one key character, this is the deadliest season of Scandal to date.
Behind the camera, creator Shonda Rhimes takes the helm as executive producer and is once again joined by executive producers, Betsy Beers and Mark Wilding.
SCANDAL will sit alongside Sky Living’s other hit US shows including: Hannibal, Elementary and The Blacklist, as well as ABC Studios' smash hit, Grey's Anatomy, also created by Rhimes.
For those who may not yet have been bitten by the Scandal bug, don’t worry there is plenty of time to catch up on the Box sets of series 1 & 2, as part of the ABC Studios service, before the start of series 3.
