Friday 29 January 2021

Comedians including Daisy May Cooper, Joel Dommett, Judi Love, Chunkz & Yung Filly, Josh Widdicombe, Susan Wokoma and Tom Allen provide hysterical commentary as singletons search for love in a new Sky Original dating show airing on Sky One and NOW TV on 25th February 2021

Some of the UK’s best comedians will watch on in delight as members of the public head out on blind dates across the country in a brand-new comedy dating show, Dating No Filter, coming to Sky One and TV streaming service NOW TV from 25th February 2021.

The 8x30’ factual entertainment series will see pairs of singletons sent on first dates, with intertwined quick-witted commentary from comedians such as Daisy May Cooper, Joel Dommett, Josh Widdicombe, Tom Allen, Suzi Ruffell, Susan Wokoma, Tom Lucy, Rosie Jones, Judi Love, Chunkz and Yung Filly. The comedy duos will watch and weigh in on the dates, giving hysterically unfiltered observations on every awkward interaction and heart-warming moment as they root for love to conquer all! The singletons will be treated to a range of activities to try to break the ice; from axe throwing and ballroom dancing, to pole dancing and a visit to a goat farm!

Daisy May Cooper said:I cannot tell you the amount of times Susie and I have been sat in Wetherspoons p***** on Pinot analysing other people’s cringey Tinder dates. Now we’re getting paid for it…..honestly can’t believe it.

Susan Wokoma commented: “Its absolutely criminal to call laughing at dates with my closest pal Daisy, work! I can’t wait for everyone to watch us crying with hysterics at the weird world of dating.

Judi Love said:I’m excited to join Dating No Filter because it’s real, you get to see dates and the running commentary at the same time. It’s new, it’s fresh, it’s engaging.

Further comedians announced include Munya Chawawa, Donna Preston and Verona Rose.

Produced by Monkey, part of NBCUniversal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group, Dating No Filter is a fresh and hilariously honest take on modern dating. The show was commissioned by Zai Bennett, Managing Director of Content at Sky and Phil Edgar Jones, Director of Sky Arts and Entertainment at Sky. Shirley Jones is the Commissioning Editor. For Monkey, Jessica Thomas and David Granger are Executive Producers. Dating No Filter is distributed globally by NBCUniversal Formats, also a division of Universal Studio Group. The format originally aired on E! in the US. The UK version marks the second international adaptation of the format, following the Polish version, which is currently airing on Polsat Café.
