SKY MOVIES OSCARS® to screen the 86TH ANNUAL ACADEMY AWARDS® LIVE FROM LOS ANGELES, as well as over 100 award winning films

Sky Movies will broadcast the 86th Annual Academy Awards® live from Los Angeles on Sunday 2nd March. The Awards ceremony will air exclusively in the UK on Sky Movies Oscars,which launches 17th February.

Sky Movies presenter Alex Zane will be joined in Sky’s London studio by a panel of celebrity guests and film experts on hand to share their predictions and reactions during the film world’s most exciting night of the year. Sky News correspondent Greg Milam will be reporting live from the red carpet, bringing Hollywood glamour and exclusive chats directly to Sky viewers’ living rooms for Oscars 2014: Red Carpet Live.

Televised live from the Dolby Theatre in LA, this year’s ceremony will be hosted by US chat show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres, returning to host the awards for the second time.

Sky Movies Oscars will also show over 100 Oscar winning films, alongside a range of support programming, and will run for three weeks, ending on 9th March.

Sky Movies Oscars boasts 10 of last year’s 12 Oscar -winning feature films - including the four win visual masterpiece Life of Pi – as well as a vast array of previous winners such as The Full Monty, Gladiator, Goodfellas, Walk The Line, Gandhi and Jaws.

The season will also be available On Demand and whenever, wherever with Sky Go. Movie fans who don’t have Sky TV can watch Sky Movies Oscars contract free on NOW TV, the online streaming service, with the Sky Movies Month Pass.

The Oscars 2014: Red Carpet Live will air from 1130-0130 on Sky Movies Oscars and Sky Living. The 86th Annual Academy Awards® will air live exclusively on Sky Movies Oscars from 0130 until 0400.
