Sky News launches new show, Sophy Ridge on Sunday, with exclusive Prime Minister interview
Thursday 5 January 2017

This weekend Sky News launches its new dynamic Sunday morning programme hosted by former political correspondent, Sophy Ridge. The first Sophy Ridge On Sunday show will feature an exclusive live interview with Prime Minster, Theresa May, her first of 2017.
Labour MP, Tom Watson, will also be talking to Sophy about his relationship with Jeremy Corbyn and the future of the Labour party.
The one hour programme, broadcast from 10am, will focus on the political week in Westminster and what it means for the lives of the wider public.
The show aims to pick up on the mood of the nation as Brexit negotiations begin, and examine how policy decisions will affect the lives of the electorate. Sophy Ridge On Sunday will also include a special weekly feature ‘Ridge on the Road’ where Sophy explores how the country is reacting to Westminster. This week the views come from Boston, Lincolnshire – dubbed the most ‘Eurosceptic’ place in Britain.
Sophy Ridge joined Sky News in 2011 as Senior Political Correspondent before becoming a presenter in October 2016. Prior to joining Sky News she was political correspondent for the News of the World.
