Sky Sports announces ‘Super Bowl XLIX week’
Sky Sports will provide unprecedented coverage of Super Bowl XLIX next week, including for the first time, broadcasting seven days of non-stop NFL programming on a single channel.
Super Bowl week on Sky Sports 3 begins 6am Monday 26 January and will offer viewers over 160 hours of build-up to the climax of the NFL season as the Seattle Seahawks clash with the New England Patriots at the University of Phoneix Stadium.
The schedule includes over 50 hours of live shows from Arizona, including more than ten hours of build-up to the big game on Super Bowl Sunday. Viewers can enjoy the breakfast news show NFL AM, the debates on who will win and why in Playbook Primetime and all the latest team reports and preparations in NFL Total Access. Plus, all the breaking stories from the media day and press conferences with the NFL Commissioner and Katy Perry.
Kevin Cadle, Sky Sports Presenter commented: “Sky Sports 3 will be the one-stop shop for NFL fans during Super Bowl week as for the first time ever they will be able to watch all the build-up to Super Bowl Sunday and the game they call ‘the greatest show on Earth.’ We’ll be able to show all the latest news from both teams’ camps, interviews with stars past and present, and previews from our team including Neil Reynolds, Jeff Reinebold and Shaun Gayle on what it’s going to take to win Super Bowl XLIX and bring the Vince Lomabri trophy home.”
New for next season, Sky Sports will show Monday Night Football as part of over 80 live fixtures, including up to five games each week of the regular season, the playoffs and Super Bowl. Sky Sports’ coverage will also include all matches from the NFL’s International Series as teams travel to the UK for regular season match ups, which has seen sell out games at Wembley since 2007.
Viewers will also be able to keep up-to-date on all the breaking news and views ahead of game day on Sky Sports News HQ and skysports.com.
