The Love Machine returns for a second series
Chris Moyles & Stacey Solomon return to host the Sky Living HD hit
Today Sky Living HD is proud to announce the return of THE LOVE MACHINE, the dating show that puts first impressions to the test in a quest to find true love for singletons. The series will be back this autumn on Sky Living HD.
Once again, perfectly-matched presenting couple Chris Moyles and Stacey Solomon will host as the all-powerful Love Machine selects potential love interests for contestants to date on a 5* luxury holiday.
THE LOVE MACHINE’S return reinforces Sky's commitment to increase its investment in original British content by 50% over the next three years.
Filmed in front of a studio audience, THE LOVE MACHINE focuses on a giant dating machine filled with single guys and girls hoping to be selected by the night’s contestants.
Ignoring the cheesy chat up lines and awkward introductions THE LOVE MACHINE selects potential partners for contestants who must then pick one to date based on looks alone.
They get to dig a little deeper in the next round as we find out more about their personal life before one dastardly final twist gives them the chance to ditch their date for a last minute upgrade.
Jane Johnson, Director of Sky Living said: “The first series went down brilliantly with Sky Living customers – they love it’s fun, bright and bold format. Chris and Stacey have fabulous chemistry and we’re hugely excited to be working with them again.”
Presenter, Chris Moyles said: ''We're back! THE LOVE MACHINE was a fantastic show to host and I can't wait for the second series.''
Stacey Solomon also added: “Chris and I are determined to find a real love match – I have already bought the big hat!”
Deborah Sargeant, Commissioning Editor for Sky Entertainment, commented: “THE LOVE MACHINE taps into what happens every weekend in bars up and down the country – girls and boys eyeing each other up from across the room – or, in our case, across a massive mechanical wheel”
Anna Blue, co-Executive Producer at Princess Productions, commented: “If you’re looking for love, game for a laugh and brave enough to say what you’re really thinking, then come and find a date in THE LOVE MACHINE. The show is a brilliant example of how instincts and physical attraction work!”
So if you are single and want the chance to date the guy or girl of your dreams on a fabulous holiday then apply NOW by visiting the Sky Living website: www.sky.com/lovemachine
THE LOVE MACHINE will be executive produced by Henrietta Conrad, Anna Blue, and series produced by Jessica Thomas, Princess Productions. The series was re-commissioned by Philip Edgar-Jones, Head of Entertainment, Sky. The series will TX on Sky Living HD this autumn.
By 2014, Sky expects to invest £600 million a year in British programmes across its portfolio of channels. This commitment follows the success of home-grown content such as entertainment hits including: Got To Dance and Four Weddings, factual series An Idiot Abroad, Steps: On The Road Again, dramas Bedlam, Mad Dogs and Treasure Island, and the BAFTA-winning documentary Flying Monsters 3D.
