Top 10 Entertainment shows on Sky in February

Monday 31 March 2014

Hi

It’s that moment you’ve been waiting for – the monthly rundown of the top ten biggest entertainment shows on Sky last month.

At Sky, we love bringing our customers the best new home-grown drama, plus the most talked-about new shows from the States. The Smoke, a brand new, high-octane British drama from the makers of Spooks, was the sixth most popular show on Sky last month, attracting a total of 1.2 million viewers - with the equivalent of nearly one in ten of those viewers downloading the show using Sky’s TV on demand service.

From the other side of the Atlantic, we brought Sky customers brand new HBO series True Detective, a gritty and intriguing crime drama set in Louisiana starring Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. Debuting in the top ten at number seven, the non-linear viewing figures for this show are not far short of astonishing, with more than half a million viewers downloading the show on demand to their Sky+HD box and just under a quarter of a million watching on the move through Sky Go. The sheer scale of these numbers illustrate perfectly just how much Sky customers love the combination of great content which they can enjoy when, where and how they want.

And alongside the new, the top ten also features some well-loved faces familiar to millions of Sky customers. In second, we have one of Sky 1’s best loved shows, Stella, attracting more than 1.5 million viewers well into its third series and still one of Sky 1’s most popular shows. And alongside Ruth Jones, another of our Sky 1’s best-known stars, Ross Kemp, whose fly-on-the-wall programme on Northern Ireland attracted a total of 1 million Sky customers and over 100,000 on demand downloads.

We always love to hear from you about our shows so please get in touch with any feedback or thoughts you have. And find attached the top 10 list

Have a fun month

Stuart
