Barny Mills appointed Sky Group CFO and CEO New Business

Unterföhring, 27.02.2026 – Sky today announces that Barny Mills will take on the role of Group Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer New Business for Sky Group, effective 1 March 2026.

Combining these responsibilities will ensure a focus on strategic opportunities for growth in addition to maximising core business performance across the short, medium and long term.

Barny will remain Chief Executive Officer of Sky Deutschland until the planned acquisition by RTL Group is completed, subject to regulatory approvals. Until closing, Sky Deutschland will continue to operate independently.

Since joining Sky Deutschland in 2018 and subsequently serving as CFO and CEO, Barny has been instrumental in sharpening the company’s strategic focus and driving the transformation of the business, positioning it to capitalize on new strategic opportunities.

The strong performance delivered under Barny’s leadership has materially strengthened Sky Deutschland’s market position and strategic profile, enhancing the attractiveness of the business.

On 27 June 2025, RTL Group announced that it had signed an agreement to acquire Sky Deutschland (DACH). The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to complete in 2026. Until closing, the businesses continue to operate independently.
