The Holiday Season is upon us, and Sky wants to say thank you

Thursday 13 December 2018

Christmas is a time for giving and also a time to say thanks. That's why we’re treating our Sky customers to something extra, on top of the already available Sky VIP rewards, from us this Christmas and Boxing Day. It’s a token of our appreciation for the last 12 months and now we’re looking forward to a brilliant 2019.

For those yet to experience the magic and musical brilliance of Hugh Jackman, prepare to be dazzled as The Greatest Showman will be available to enjoy on Christmas Day on Sky One for all of our TV customers. Also coming down the chimney, or rather just appearing on Sky One on Boxing Day, will be three Premiere League football games including Fulham v Wolves (12:00), Brighton v Arsenal (17:00) and Watford v Chelsea (19:15). And if that was wasn’t enough, from the 13th of December, enjoy a Sky Store movie on us, Arthur Christmas is yours to download and keep to watch again and again.

For those wanting to keep in touch with loved ones, near or far, we are spreading the cheer a little further by offering Sky Talk customers *unlimited calls from Sky Talk UK landlines to any worldwide landline or mobile and *unlimited data for Sky Mobile customers to use within the UK, on Christmas and Boxing day.

We hope that our customers enjoyed 2018 as much as we did and are pleased that we have been able to reward our loyal customers over the past year with more than 2.7m signing up to our VIP programme. We have also upped our game with Sky original productions including Patrick Melrose, Save Me and In The Long Run and brought the very best of HBO to our schedules including The Affair and Sharp Objects.

There’s more to look forward to in 2019 too, with plenty of new big-screen dramas being released every month. These titles come from some of the best storytellers in the world including everything from Catherine The Great, Chernobyl and the second series of Riviera, to the final season of the award-winning Game of Thrones as well as the second instalment of Big Little Lies.

So, we really hope that people enjoy their gifts which will kick in automatically, and spend the holidays catching up on just some of the great TV available on Sky as well as looking forward to all that 2019 has to offer.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year from everyone at Sky.

Stephen van Rooyen, CEO UK & Ireland, Sky
