                                                                                 TX Autumn 2012

Dublin (13th April 2012): Sky 1 HD today announced the commission of a 60-minute special Diversity in Dublin (working title) on the Diversity “Digitized” Tour 2012, which will be filmed exclusively during the dance crew’s Dublin gig tomorrow, Saturday 14th April. Fans of the street and hip-hop crew led by Ashley Banjo can look forward to seeing the show on Sky 1 HD this Autumn.  The Dublin date marks the penultimate performance of Diversity’s 13-date arena tour, their biggest to date, which has visited cities across the UK and Ireland.

Following their 2010 tour “Diversitoy’s: Bringing A Toy Story To Life”, the 2012 “Digitized” show will give their devoted legion of fans everything they expect from Diversity on a scale they have never seen before.

Group leader and Choreographer Ashley Banjo said: "We are always blown away by the reaction we receive on tour, it’s amazing. We are really enjoying getting back out there with our brand new Digitized show. Filming the Dublin date of the tour for Sky 1 HD will help us reach an even wider audience, and give fans a great opportunity to watch what goes on behind the scenes!"

Diversity in Dublin has been commissioned by Antonia Hurford Jones, Commissioning Editor for Sky 1 HD, who comments, “Diversity in Dublin will be the latest spectacular entertainment offering for our customers and strengthen Sky's love affair with Diversity and all things dance.”

Driven by their motto "Dream, Believe, Achieve", Diversity is a remarkable example of what happens when team work, dedication and belief are thrown together. In 2010 alone they performed live to over 300,000 people across the world and since winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, they have performed in front of The Queen at The Royal Variety Show, been the first act to perform in front of the UK Prime Minister outside No. 10 Downing Street, and have starred in the hit film ‘StreetDance 3D’.

Diversity in Dublin is part of Sky's commitment to increase its investment in original content by 50% over the next three years. By 2014, Sky expects to invest £600 million a year in home-grown programmes across its portfolio of channels. This commitment follows the success of content such as entertainment hits Got To Dance and A League of Their Own, dramas Mad Dogs and Thorne, and the BAFTA-winning documentary Flying Monsters 3D.
