Sky News launches Mornings with Ridge and Frost, a bold new offering starting this November

Thursday 2 October 2025

Sky News today announces the highly anticipated relaunch of its flagship morning programme, with the new multiplatform offering available daily from Monday 3rd November.

Mornings with Ridge and Frost, will be fronted by award-winning journalists Sophy Ridge and Wilfred Frost. Broadcast live 7am-10am from a rebranded modern studio in the heart of London, the programme will bring the audience the day's essential stories - and drive the conversation with agenda-setting interviews.

Mornings with Ridge and Frost will be a destination for the best of Sky News’s premium journalism from across the UK and around the world. Ridge and Frost will be joined by Sky’s leading correspondents and editors with all of their latest reporting, analysis and lively debate - delivering the most comprehensive global news report available anywhere in this slot.

Alongside the live show, Sky News is launching a brand-new daily podcast, Cheat Sheet with Ridge and Frost, dropping weekdays at 6am. This fast-paced 10-minute news rundown will give audiences the essential headlines and digestible insight they need to start their day, from their daily commute to the school run - wherever they are.

Following the success of the Sky News Money newsletter launched earlier this year, a morning newsletter is also in development, designed to bring audiences smart insight direct to their inbox.

With 20% of Brits saying social media is their main source of news1, Mornings with Ridge and Frost will also extend across digital and social platforms, with bespoke video-first content, insight reflecting our news report and Sophy and Wilf’s take on the day’s events. Audiences will also have the opportunity to join the conversation in real time, from engaging via WhatsApp to social platforms and email.

This new multi-platform offering brings audiences the full story, first, meeting them where they are: on TV, in their social feeds, in their headphones, and on demand.

Wilfred Frost said: “It’s a privilege to launch a brand-new morning show on Sky News – especially to be partnering with Sophy. We’ve had such fun shaping the show with our brilliant team, and I can’t wait for viewers to be part of the ride and help them make sense of what’s going on in the world each morning.”

Sophy Ridge added: “Presenting our morning programme is a real pinch yourself moment and I can’t think of anyone better to be doing it with than Wilf. For me, it’s about news making interviews and making sense of the big stories – but also having conversations that feel real, human, and actually matter to people’s everyday lives.”

David Rhodes, Executive Chairman of Sky News said: “Sophy and Wilf will bring the best of our news report to viewers across the country and around the world - wherever they choose to get their news. Drawing on their experience covering politics, business, and global affairs, they’ll offer the sharpest take available anywhere, each morning. We’ve talked about premium products built for the digital future - that's just what Mornings with Ridge and Frost represents.”
