Making a difference during the crisis

During the Covid-19 crisis, people at Sky are working to keep the world informed, to support our communities, to look after our customers and to keep us all entertained.

Informing the world

Our news teams are doing a vital job for millions of people, keeping them informed as the Covid-19 crisis develops. In the face of one of the biggest news stories of our times, our journalists are on the frontline, reporting from hospitals, communities and the centres of power. Supporting our communities

Across Europe, Sky volunteers are stepping up to help people in their local communities during the crisis. They’re giving their time, energy and expertise to support those in need. From bringing food parcels to the vulnerable, to delivering vital PPE to our medics, they are doing what they can to make a difference. Looking after our customers

When the lockdown began, the Government classified Sky engineers as key workers, recognising the importance of their work to keep our customers connected to the world. They quickly developed smart ways to help customers, whilst staying safe and socially distanced. Our customer care teams across Europe have also changed the way they work, transforming their offices and working from home to keep helping our customers, when they need us most. Keeping our customers entertained

We all need news and entertainment more than ever. It keeps us connected and helps us to relax and unwind, at a stressful time. Our teams have transformed the way they work to make sure that every single one of our customers and everyone who watches Sky News free-to-air, still has access to the TV they love. During lockdown, we’ve launched new channels and original TV shows made by Sky. Watch the video to meet a few of the Sky people keeping our customers entertained.
