Regulatory

Regulatory
Sky operates in a highly regulated environment and is committed to transparency and compliance across all areas of our business. These resources ensure our stakeholders, partners, and customers have access to the latest updates on how we meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
TV channels
Thinking of launching a TV channel? Here’s where you’ll find everything you need - from how we allocate EPG listings to our standard terms for access services. We cover both pay-TV and free-to-air channels, with details on conditional access, regionalisation, and digital access cards. You’ll also find our price list, information on access control services, and our voluntary commitments in this space.
Telecommunications network
Our PSTN network interface specification sets out how our analogue line connections work, making sure they’re compatible with radio and telecoms equipment in line with industry regulations. It helps ensure smooth, reliable connections across supported devices.
Domain names
The .sky top level domain (TLD) is managed by us, with registry policies and notices available for reference. You can search the .sky WHOIS or RDAP databases, report domain abuse if needed, and review our legal notice and registration policy. For added security, the .sky domain also supports DNSSEC, with our practice statement available to download.
Media policy (Germany)
We can only bring innovative solutions and future-facing business models to life by staying aligned with current laws and regulatory frameworks. That’s why it’s vital that regulation reflects the unique nature of our business - as an aggregator, distributor and producer of high-quality content. We actively engage in the political and public debate, making sure our voice is heard where decisions are made. Through ongoing dialogue with regulators, lawmakers and the wider media industry at both German state and federal level, our Public Policy team helps explain what sets us apart - and why that matters.
