Arts

Arts
Sky Arts is the UK’s only TV channel dedicated to the arts, and it’s free to air. Great art fires up our imaginations and brings us together. That’s why we’re ambitious with the stories we tell. From operatic masterpieces to the greatest guitar riffs, our definition of the arts is unashamedly broad. The fact is we need the arts like never before, and Sky Arts brings them straight to your living room.
“Everyone should have access to the arts. We believe that when more people love the arts, the world becomes a better place - more creative, more empathetic and so much more exciting”

Phil Edgar-Jones
Director of Sky Arts and Entertainment
More people watching, painting and creating
Since Sky Arts went free to air in 2020, it has tripled its audience, with hit shows like Portrait Artist of the Year regularly drawing in over 1 million viewers. Our research shows that one in ten British adults have tried a new creative hobby like painting music or photography, after being inspired by a TV programme.
Here are a few of our hit shows and partnerships.
