News

Sky News. The full story, first.

At Sky News, our mission is to bring you the full story, first. We take you there, 24:7, reporting from the heart of the events changing our world. We ask the big questions of everyone, revealing what you want to know. And our style is bold and independent, giving you a fresh perspective.

In the UK, Sky News is a compelling alternative to the public service broadcasters and opinion-driven news outlets, reaching one in three people every month. Across the world, we are one of the most-followed English language news brands on social media, bringing award-winning British journalism to a global audience.

Sky News was named News Channel of the Year for the eighth consecutive year at the Royal Television Society Journalism Awards.

Brand licences

Sky News Arabia is a 24-hour Arabic news channel, broadcasting mainly across the Middle East and North Africa. It’s a joint venture between Sky and the Abu Dhabi Media Investment Corporation (ADMIC). An Editorial Advisory Committee helps support the channel’s editorial independence by reviewing its content.

Since 1996, Australian News Channel Pty Ltd (ANC) has operated Sky News under a brand licensing agreement in Australia and New Zealand. ANC runs a range of channels - including Sky News Live, Sky News Weather, Sky News Extra and Sky News New Zealand - covering news, sport, weather and national affairs.

Comcast and Sky News UK don’t hold any ownership in these services and aren’t involved in their editorial or commercial operations.
